
Reetamaria Ylitalo
Reetamaria Ylitalo is an attorney specializing in financial crime with extensive experience in handling complex financial crime cases and proceedings.
Ylitalo has advised our clients in, among others, large and demanding securities market crime and bribery cases, fraud cases, trade secret disputes, tax fraud cases, as well as various debtor-related criminal matters. She also has experience in handling insolvency-related corporate disputes and commercial litigation, in general courts and arbitration.
Ylitalo graduated with a Master of Laws degree in 2019. She has worked in advocacy since 2019 as a licensed legal counsel and, since 2023, as an attorney. Ylitalo also serves as Vice Chair, Secretary, and Head of Training at the Board of the Finnish Bar Association’s Lapland department. In addition, she is preparing her doctoral dissertation at the University of Eastern Finland on the effectiveness of combating the shadow economy and economic crime in insolvency proceedings.
Our Rovaniemi office has offered internships to law students since 2021. Ylitalo is responsible, among her other duties, for running the internship program and acting as supervisor for the interns.
